Brian speaks regularly at churches, schools, camps, and conferences all over America. If you are interested in having Brian speak at your event you can visit his website by clicking here.
When not at church you will probably find Brian hanging out with his family and friends. He loves being on a wave runner, writing, reading, traveling, blogging, playing video games with his kids, and cheering on the Cubs, Twins, Bears, or Timberwolves.
Brian says, "I feel so blessed to be on the staff of Woodbury Community Church. God has strategically positioned this church to make an impact in the community. I pray that God will find us faithful to honor Him by making more disciples for Jesus Christ. We strive to be a church that loves God, loves others and makes disciples as we go. If you are looking for a church home, or are just curious about the claims of Jesus Christ, we'd love to have you visit. We believe that church ought to be the safest place to ask questions, admit your struggles, celebrate the joys in your life, and to enter into life-changing relationships with people and God. I'd love to get to know you!"
Daniel joined our staff in January of 2009. Before coming to WCC Daniel has been serving in the role of Associate Youth Pastor at South Park Church in Park Ridge, Il. Daniel recently entered into a lifelong journey with his new bride Amy Jo, who is an ESL (English as Second Language) instructor in downtown Chicago.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Moody Bible Institute, and has future plans to attend Bethel Graduate School to attain his Masters in Communications. Daniel desires to use his gifts to reach students and change lives through media, pop-culture, and love
In his free time Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends. He is an avid media consumer and appreciates music, movies, and visual art. He also enjoys many outdoor activities such as hiking, snowboarding, and camping, but most of all he loves riding his motorcycle with his wife and exploring new territories.
Daniel says, "God has worked in extraordinary ways to bring Amy and I to WCC. I believe that at this time God desires to move greatly in the lives of the students and families and has strategically positioned WCC to make the difference. It is my desire to love Jesus, My Wife and Others, in that order, to my fullest potential. I am excited to develop my relationship with you over a cup of coffee at Caribou if you ever have the time!"
Kathryn Kimball ~ Director of Children and Family Ministry
Kathryn joined the WCC staff in October of 2008. She also serves as an Educational Therapist with Bachmann & Associates, Inc. in Lake Elmo, MN.
Kathryn met her husband, John, in seminary and they were married in 1989. They have three children, Lauren, Josiah and Anna Jean.
Kathryn received her Master of Christian Ministry Degree from the School of Divinity at RegentUniversity in 1989. With her Bachelor of Science in Family Development from Georgia Southern University, Kathryn has a unique understanding of ministry as both a mother and as a pastor’s wife of nearly 20 years. She has overseen the Pioneer Clubs Children’s Ministry, established a Bible study for young moms, and has served alongside John in two churches in Virginia before the family moved to the Twin Cities in January of 2007 to work with the CCCC. The Kimballs began attending WCC at that time.
Kathryn’s work with children and families goes beyond the local church as well. She has been an art teacher, a librarian, a teaching assistant and a substitute teacher in three Christian schools. In 2003, with the encouragement of her school administrator, she began her training in educational therapy at the National Institute for Learning Development in Norfolk, Virginia. She subsequently served as both an educational therapist and director of the DiscoveryCenter at James RiverChristianAcademy in Smithfield, Virginia, and helped to launch a brand new therapeutic program in cooperation with the EdenCounselingCenter in 2006. Her work with children and their learning disabilities is very rewarding.
When Kathryn is not working, she loves cooking, spending time with her family, listening to Christian music, helping out with homework, curling up with a good book, watching the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and even sneaking away for a quiet walk around the neighborhood.
Monte has been leading worship at WCC since October of 2008 on an interim basis before officially joining the staff at the beginning of December. Before coming to WCC, Monte had the opportunity to lead worship at Camp Lebanon, Northwestern College, and the Community Covenant Church in Upsala, MN.
Monte is currently a student at Northwestern College, and is pursuing a degree in Business with a minor in Ministry. Although he does not know where God will lead him in those areas, he is more than excited to find out.
Monte has a huge passion for music. When he isn’t leading worship, he loves spending time writing music, playing the piano for fun, and listening to the music of other artists. Sports is another area he is passionate in. Monte had a lot of success in the varsity high school sports of baseball, basketball, and football. He was also privileged to play on the Northwestern College baseball team. Broomball, ping-pong, ultimate Frisbee, fishing, hunting, hanging out with friends, and spending time with his family are also important to him.
Monte says, “God has blown my mind by blessing me with the opportunity to lead worship at Woodbury Community Church, and I am overflowing with joy as I see how God is working in this church! I pray that Christ will remain the center of this church, that I may lead the congregation in the pursuit of the heart of worship, and that He may be glorified above all else! My life goal is to brighten my world and shine for the glory of Christ by using the gifts, abilities, and talents God has given me. I look forward to meeting you, and I am always interested in involving more people in the areas of music and drama.”
